Who is your favorite fiction character and why?

Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise.
He's a model human being. An explorer, he's brave, stoic, a lover of art, history, music, literature and philosophy. His quirks are similar to mine (things that annoy him for example or how he handles awkward social situations), but he handles them with grace. He's a natural leader and he has humble beginnings.
His interactions with Q are my favorite. And Worf too, those episodes (Star Trek TNG) were always my favorite.

@beaisforbliss The games were what I spent the bulk of my childhood doing and his willingness to help anyone no matter the challenge genuinely influenced who I grew into

Sherlock Holmes or Harry Bosch who is a character created by Michael Connolly.

@beaisforbliss He's an LA Detective in the Bosch series of books by Michael Connolly which has now been made into a TV show. He comes across as very real and the character in the show is exactly as I'd imagined when reading the books.
