Open-minded needs a definition but..

To me an open minded person is someone who never rushes to judge, never seeks to impose their values on something without first seeing, or understanding the point being made. Judgement must be weighed in a semblance of fairness, not simply because you are sickened by something or you are simply not going to countenance expression of it to be able to view the idea rationally. If you see something has gone from a talking point to an obsession you may have genuine fears but you must stay your judgement and said the full experience of the presentation. Too often politics forestall lucid consideration, and an injustice is done in a closed minded reaction.

Too true but it can be very subjective and sometimes people don't have the bandwidth to welcome all types of possibilities, understanding complicated angles etc, I think if it was so easy everyone would be on the same page, and closed mindedness wouldn't be a factor. So maybe it is only definable by those that purposely aim to adopt an open minded stance, since acknowledging that doing so is always going to cause a revamping of current notions
