I Love Movies

I saw “The Good Liar” today. If you saw the previews or read about it, you will know that Ian McKellen plays a crook. In this movie, he was such a douchebag I wanted to slug him in the jaw. This is the same actor who played Dumbledore - one of the most lovable characters ever. So obviously a talented and versatile actor.

Helen Mirren does not disappoint, either. She plays herself - a badass older woman. I tend to hope I don’t have a long lifespan; but if I do, I want to be like Helen Mirren.

The story is a little over the top, but the acting and the London (and international) setting is worth it; just suspend your disbelief.
