I Love Movies

Yesterday I watched the last movie James Dean appeared in: Giant. Saw it for the fourth time I think. 198min is a long movie but its worth every second. The way the characters are developed and especially how Dean plays his character Jett Rink is astonishing. Besides making Rink to a absolut slime bag he also evokes absolut empathy for the person itself. That guy was one of the best, and he is way more than the myth created around him. Wonder what he'd have done when still living today.

It's creepy how someone else had to loop(replace) his dialogue in a few scenes.

@Somerset There's a scene where he is sitting with his head down on a table. That one definitely is someone else's voice. Listen closely. Another tidbit: James Dean hated George Stevens. (!)

@uncalled4 The one when he is deadbeat drunk at the opening of his hotel? Yeah I know what you mean.
Heard the shoot was very exhausting and Dean was extensively talking with Liz Taylor about his father and such.
