I became a reserve after doing my two years, and my grandfather sensed an urge for adventure in me so he gave me the money to travel. I can afford to be away from home for about two years, and I've already used up six months of that and only visited a few countries.
After Egypt I went to Greece, to Macedonia, Albania, and Bosnia. I changed tack because of the illegal migrants situation, and I took passage on a ship bound for Sicily. I spent a month there and I'm in Naples now on my way to Rome.
I hope to spend a month in Rome, and travel to Milan too,me fore I cross either into France or into Switzerland. I have to sort out my visas as necessary for continuing on to Spain and Portugal by way of either Germany or Britain. From Portugal I was thinking of flying to Brazil, and then go to Panama and Costa Rica, before flying to New York City.
From there I plan to go to Toronto, and Lake Superior before going over to Seattle and San Francisco, and then maybe out to Hawaii, and on to Japan. My last stop will probably be India, and then I shall fly home.
