When did you last see a meteor/falling star or fireball in the sky?

I just saw a fairly large fireball pass through the sky through the clouds, lit up the clouds briefly, when I stepped out onto my balcony just a few moments ago.
cool i saw a falling/shooting star that lasted four seconds or more once out west
wow.. i always wanted to see the northern lights :)

@ZeroG: I really do too, both auroras. Australis and Borealis, both would be awesome to see.
yeah :)

I've seen quite a few in my lifetime so far. They never fail to make me catch my breath.

@Luminescence: Yeah, they're really quite breathtaking. And for me I find it so neat to just think a bit about the multi-billion year journeys those space rocks/particle clouds have gone through to make their way to Earth.

I've never seen one before. ):

@goagainsttheflow: That sucks, do you live particularly far north? You get more of them the closer to the equator you are, in general.

@UndeadPrivateer: We do but to see them I'd have to go far out of the city. The lights are too bright for them to be seen.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@goagainsttheflow: I live in a major urban area, in the SF Bay Area, so I only see the brightest for the most part but I've seen at least several dozen over the course of my life here just in day to day life at home. Not counting meteor showers, where you see dozens or even hundreds.

Through the clouds? It was above them right?
Never.

I wish I had a different answer :/
