Once I've Seen Her.. Now I Don't... Final Chapter

This is going to turn out to be quite a long drawn out story so I will just get straight to the out come....

I fell in love with Adrianna... never knew whether she felt the same about me... but we spent lots of days together... the Asian eyes she got from her mom who was in fact Asian....

One day I could no longer contain myself and just walked up behind her then whispered in her ear "Adrianna I love you".... she just frozen in one place for almost a minute then finally turned around to face me... and she was smiling that beautiful smile... then she says "I love you too... always did... (then both at the same time) but did not know how to say it."

I leaned forward and kissed her then for the very first time in 3 months since we met.

We spent that day cuddling and kissing some more and just being in love...

Then that same evening I walked her home... she went inside and I walked towards my friend 2 doors away who was sitting on his porch and I joined him.

About 10 minutes later Adrianna came walking up the drive way saying she needs to talk to me alone... she looked really down and that had me really worried... but we walked a few meters down the road, then she turned to me and hugged me tightly... tears running down her face...

I asked her what was wrong... and she says "When I got inside, my dad informed us that we will be leavings tomorrow... the flight has already been booked... their missionary work will be taking us overseas and I don't know where to".

Right there my world was shattered... everything came crashing down on me.

To this day I remember the truck coming to load their things... and how she looked at me as we said I last goodbyes... we promised that we would never forget each other... I cried a silent cry as I watched them drive away...

I have never seen or heard from her again since. I tried tracking them down online to when social media just started becoming a big thing... but to this day I cannot find her.

Everyone is somewhere. You can find her. I speak as an adoptee (adopted at birth) who located her birth family 40 years after I was adopted. If all else fails, you can find her through a detective or investigative service. So the question is whether you'd really like to find her or whether you would rather just live with memories.

By the way, didn't you two ever exchange letters or phone calls after she relocated? In any case, you must know her name, right?
@greenmountaingal: I know her name yes, but I stopped looking for her when I bumped into another friend who also knew her and she told me this girl... is no married and back in the country... I stopped looking because I do not want complications.

She is happy... that is all that matters.

@DarkMystery: You are right about the complications if she is married. You could ask your friend to check on her now and then, though. In my area, at least, over 50% of all marriages end in divorce after 5 years.
@greenmountaingal: Nah... I would rather just hold on to those memories. I have moved on too.
