Once I've Seen Her... Now I Don't... Chapter 2
The very next day I was up earlier than usual and made my way to my friend's house, but he just about woke up and had to shower so I decided to just sit outside and wait for him.
Then suddenly I see a little boy about 3 years old running past the house, then trips and falls and I get up to help him. As I approach, from the corner of my eye I see her again... also running toward the kid who happened to be her little brother from the day before. This time though I keep my composure and reach the kid first.
I check his knees to see if he got hurt, but he seemed fine. Then she was kneeling down beside me looking at worried that her brother may have gotten hurt... I look at her with the intention of saying he is fine, but then her scent hit me like a ton of bricks... she smelled of roses... from her hair, which brushes lightly against my face as she lowered herself next to me, to the rest of her body... just the scent of roses everywhere.
I quickly force myself out of the haze and tell her I already checked and he seems fine. She smiles at me again and says "Thank you... uhm..." and quickly I say "Theo... and you are?"... she still smiles and says "Adrianna". Now I already knew her name, but I wanted to hear her say it... that was we had an official introduction without her finding it a bit weird that I already knew her name.
Then I ask what her brother's name was and she said "Elijah". I then lift him up to his feet and say to him "Hey Elijah, you're a wild, but brave one hey. You fell and didn't make a squeak. What were you running from anyway?". Adrianna then laughs at this and says "He did not want to get undressed for his bath and decided to make a run for it when my other brother opened he door to take out the trash."
So she has another brother...
Just then a lady comes walking towards us and looks at me questioningly. Before I can say anything Adrianna says "Mom his is Theo. He just helped Elijah when he fell". Her mom then looks slightly worried asking whether he got hurt and I quickly answer saying that he is fine. He mom then just looks at me, then looks at Adrianna, which makes her smile again, then she says to her mom "You said I need to start making friends and I think Theo here is decent enough. I saw him yesterday afternoon and he doesn't look like theb "trouble" kind" then she giggled.
Her mom then looks back and me and slowly starts to smile saying "Alright then Theo. Thank you for helping with Elijah" then turning to Adrianna she says "Please come along and help me get him ready before go. And maybe you can ask Theo here if he would be kind enough to walk with you to the supermarket seeing as you just made a new friend".
I look at her, then back at her mom and I cannot believe how cool her mom was. Adrianna then looks at me questioningly and I say "Sure, not a problem at all. I'll go with you." She smiles that stunning smile again then says "Thanks, so you in a few minutes".
