How long has it been since the last time you had someone publicly jeer you?

Just got back from a hospital visit and while waiting for my ride to come pick me up had a bunch of High School age gang members come through and try to make fun of me for being bald while filming with their phones. I just ignored them and they moved on after several minutes, but hadn't been publicly jeered since Middle School prior.

Have you been publicly jeered before? If so, how long has it been since the last occasion?

it's actually a pretty regular occurrance for me, because of my race and the fact that i live in a nearly all white town, and tend to have extremely colorful hair and accessories etc. used to it, no different than the crap people did in junior high/highschool. just people act like it's "omg!" to see someone with blue or purple or pink hair these days, i don't see why it's hard for them to go about their business. sorry that happened to you :(

@Peaceful: Eh, it's alright. Just not a thing I'd had happen for quite some time. Didn't let them bother me, hence them moving on after a while. I was slightly concerned I was about to get mugged for a moment when they encircled me, though I had less than $10 on me at the time so the joke would've been on them, but it turned out to just be petty insults. Could've been far worse.

Sucks that would happen to you though. People can be really shitty sometimes.
