Yes, I have. I was adopted when I was three, as my mother was a heavy alcoholic. The mistake was that I moved back in with her after high school to try and get to know her, but her alcoholism didn't subside. I moved back out. The best part of it, as I remained in her state, was that I met my husband of 29 years.
