Letting the one you love go

If I know they don't want to be with me I accept it, don't hold to them. It's only hard when they give mixed signals

It was hard. She made me happy every time I saw her, but the relationship grew toxic. For the longest time, I knew I needed to let go, but I couldn't. Letting go of her meant letting go of the happiness I felt when I saw her.

But the negatives were starting to outweigh the positives and I let go. It was for my own mental health.

Very hard but it was for the best....

Doing it right now.

Horrible because I'm losing them. Not so bad because I know they're doing what they want to do. That part makes it easier for me than losing anyone else.

Better than the bitterness of holding them against their will..

It sucks at first but then you realise it's for the best and move on

Under what circumstances?

Next to impossible

Tough, painful, sad and takes an excruciatingly long time. But knowing that it too will pass and things will very slowly get back on track again gives me what I need to pull through eventually.

Horrible but life goes on and so do I.
