Can we finally admit the Bee-Gees were freakin’ awesome?

Gusman · 61-69, M
I personally always thought Bee Gees have been awesome since the 60's.
Over 300 songs recorded. Over 120 million albums sold
It seems I made some folks mad at me last night. I suppose it was my intention at the time drinking, but then when I wake up I wonder why I do it?

We were having fun yesterday until I started drinking and things took a turn for the worse. If would do any good can you tell your friend I apologize? Hopefully she blocked me just for a time out because I deserved it.

Here's something to get our day started off right.

Yes they were! Great old band, I started a joke, but the joker's not me.

@Elevatorpitches Great song. Check out the BeeGees documentary on Netflix. It's fantastic.

@Peaches very nice. It was cool in those times for men to have long hair that time.
I am not drunk enough yet.
Indeed! 😌👯
I agree with this message
@Human1000 I see what you did there
Every little thing you do is magic

@Ghostinthemachine giant steps are what you take , walking on the moon.
@AthrillatheHunt I hope my leg don’t break
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
I'll admit that I like some of their songs.
originnone · 56-60, M
they were pre-discohttps://youtu.be/HSD8BkpfIYw
Human1000 · M
@originnone I prefer the pre disco!
originnone · 56-60, M
@Human1000 In the video I attached, is that Robin in the middle on guitar?
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
Night fever is the best disco song EVER!
Isle of Mann is magical.

Ellin Vannin
Their home.
Their teeth are a bit scary though.

Wiseacre · F
Ok...I liked other bands better!
cycleman · 61-69, M
Never! least from me
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
They were insanely good up until Spirits Having Flown. Nights On Broadway was the tipping point for me. Once the falsettos kicked in, they honestly sounded like cats trying to sing after a few cuts. They were incredible singers, no idea why they embraced that caterwauling on that level. And those guys played on their own tracks!
Human1000 · M
@uncalled4 They were a bit down n out and so changed direction. Growing up I only knew the Sat Night Fever Bee Gees. Wasn’t until many years later when the early Bee Gees became a guilty pleasure and then older when I thought guilty my ass, they were great song writers, sang insanely good harmonies, and were quite bold, in fact.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@Human1000 I knew their earlier stuff before SNF. I realized that between intra-band turmoil and lack of sales that they had to do something in the mid -70s.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Whaddya mean, finally? Hell yeah, they were awesome!
caesar7 · 61-69, M
Minus the disco.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@caesar7 Agree. 1977/78 was a glitch, even if they would have made many millions of dollars during that time.
