Checking the security features on Australian New $50 notes.

The note I am looking at Does Not have 3 of the security features.
Most strange. Not going to tell anyone though. I may lose the money if they are fake.

I was behind someone in line at a store once, the cashier checked her money and found it to be fake. She was asked to wait while they called authorities. I didn't wait around to see the outcome but waiting alone would be a hassle and I'll bet she lost the money.

@curiosi If it was fake, she would have lost the money.
I used one of the notes yesterday in a machine. Accepted without a problem.
I do not understand why security features are not on the notes.

We now live in a world where plastic money is real yet the 'promise to pay' (Cheque) no longer is.
@Picklebobble2 Oddly enough banknotes aren't official currency... they are a promise to pay - so we trade on promises.
Alternatively, you may get over face value for them if you sell them to error note collectors...
but does it feel plasticy enough?

@stound Oh Yeah. It is Plasticy enough.🙂
