Those who have metal plates holding broken bones together in their bodies. You all know how painful it gets during cold seasons. What about during summer. Since the metal gets cold during winter season does it get hot during summer? Cause I tend to feel extremely hot when summer and I'm wondering if the metal is the reason
According to what I know about these things, temperature changes cause many people with these artificial pieces to experience pain and discomfort, aches and pains. Heat doesn't seem to cause problems-it is the cold. Storms sometimes.

My wife has a metal plate in her skull, as well as a coil of metal in a cerebral aneurysm. She doesn't appear to be sensitive to temperatures, but she does complain of having pain, sometimes intense pain, when the pressure changes, as before a storm, which I suspect may be related to the metal in her head.

I have plates and screws in my arm. I am not conscious of being affected by temperature. But what puzzles me is that sometimes it hurts when I rest my arm on the edge of something, like a table, and other times it does not hurt.

I have 3 plates and screws in my right leg as well as some staples from surgery 30+ years ago, I do know they're there when it's very cold or very humid for some reason, heat doesn't bother me though.
