How do you tell the LANDLORD to f-off

Without getting kicked out?
This guy thinks he is my father or something . Unwanted advice, do this, do that... What the hell.....

I had a neighbor who worked on bossing me around for years. The stress was so great I sought out a psychotherapist. I described a typical situation with my neighbor and asked him, "If this was your neighbor and she put you in this situation, what would you do?"
His answer, honest and unforgettable, was: "I have no idea."
I would suggest you see your neighbor as an annoying but funny TV sit-com character and learn to endure the crap he dishes out. Or move. Anything else just won't work. These people see themselves as being the helpful corrective parent you never had. They never see how obnoxious they really are.

@greenmountaingal I respect you so much🤗
You give amazing advice. I don't want move, but unduring the crap that's another level of patience I don't have...So far I just take it But I am on my wits end...I gotta say something and it won't be pretty😥 I am a bottler! I take so much crap then I explode🙈

Have a serious, firm, but pleasant discussion with them...let them know how you feel and where you stand, it the best you can do short of moving. It's the "my house, my rules" syndrome....they have control and say in where you live, and they assume they have the same say and control in all other areas of your life as well.

I'm pretty sure its completely illegal for a landlord to kick you out for personal reasons like that. Look at your contract and see what it says.

@Ryannnnnn Thank you 🤗

@RamessesII I understand. In the lease he made sure it says he doesn't have to give me a reason except a month to move out. Vice versa. He thinks he is my father 😡

Just tell him that you take advice only if paid .. and that you charge $150 per hour to listen.

@Orlbe your landlord can't kick you out because you told them to leave you alone. Probably. You should have a look at the lease.

Is it cultural norms? In some places there are unspoken rules that don't sit well with the newer generations but can get you kicked out if your landlord is old :/

@assemblingaknob 😭😭😭😭😡😡😡😡😡😡

It all depends what part of the world you are living rules vary
Orlbe · 26-30, F
@senghenydd Its not that bad... just venting because he is driving me maaaaad with his advice. I have my parents I can go to but I don't want to leave. I love it here. Is just he thinks I need advice but i don't. He doesn't even know me well enough to comment about me😥

@Orlbe I have a strange feeling Tenant beware feeling, once the tenancy is signed and the keys are handed over he should allow you your own space he's not allowed to bother you maybe by e-mail should allow you a quiet time for yourself.
Orlbe · 26-30, F
@senghenydd This is my feelings exactly!
Orlbe · 26-30, F
@Jasondf i am thinking about it, yeah....😭
