If everyone was mad and you were the only sane one

Would you look insane to everyone else?
Allelse · 36-40, M
That would suppose the mad are all mad in the same way, and that would be one hell of a coincidence. Even if everyone was afflicted with the same kind of madness, it wouldn't result in the exact same mindset for everybody.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Allelse society is mad for the same reason and the outcast is seen as mad by them despite being more natural than society
Allelse · 36-40, M
@JovialPlutonian Go spend some time with some schitzophrenics, a few catatonics, oh and hang out with nutters in the part of maximum security prison where they keep the dangerosuly mentally ill prisoners, and then rethink your unpractical philosophocial crap.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@JovialPlutonian Yes there are coincidences.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Possibly.
But then no two people see everything exactly the same way.

But generally yes.
If you think the opposite from the majority somebody's gonna think you're mad.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music. Friedrich Nietzsche
Elessar · 26-30, M
That's usually the case, yeah.
