There is no global economic "slowdown". That term makes it appear as if what is happening on the world economic stage is just a thing globally that happens.
One countries economy is now the world's economy. That is what makes us "global". And so the actions--or lack of them--on the part of one major player in the world economy has the domino effect on the entire globe. There is no cyclic global slowdown taking place. There is a GENERATED economic slowdown taking place. Trump has crippled WORLD trade---not just the trade in the United States. All overseas products cost more here now---so any export nation in the world that sells to the U.S. is suffering sales losses. As a result of retaliatory tariffs...our products are not selling worldwide as well as they were.
The Tax scam has so depleted the U.S. Treasury and put the U.S. in such a high risk debt situation, long term investors from overseas and at home have lost interest in investing in U.S. securities.
What we see happening globally for economic downturns is not a cyclic trend. It is a COMPLETELY manufactured ripple effect---that started right here at home. And it's started because of one man's decisions. A man who went against his own economic advisors advice not to do it. Trump owns this coming trainwreck economy.....and he owns the world economic downturn---by making the same ill thought out---ill advised decisions---financially with a nation as he used to bankrupt 4 casinos---and every other business he has EVER touched. The only people who don't agree with that are ironically enough..the poorest, least educated in the nation who don't have enough money--or knowledge---to even dabble in the market.
