Do you have any regrets?

When my grandmother was passing on she asked me if I had any regrets. I told her no. She responded that we all have regrets. In that moment I meant I was happy with my life and wanted her to feel that I was in a good place. To this day I regret not honestly answering. I have regrets of things I never did or wished I had done things earlier in life. How about you?

I have tons of regrets. And I used to nurse them to the exclusion of living now. I’ve learned that I can’t fix missed chances but I can make new ones.

@SW-User Really? Is that good or bad!

@lovelychicadee I guess I've done things I'm not especially proud of.

@SW-User this cant be true. You have poet and your daughter
I think I can understand why you said that though. You didn't want to add any extra worry. And that is thoughtful of you.
But I have things I wish I had done. Things I wish I could have done. Not really missed opportunities but ones that got taken away.

I think we all have regrets ... but that doesn’t mean that we can’t be happy in the place we are, or with the person we have become ... our trials, tribulations, and even our regrets and failures have shaped us into the person we are ...

@YoungDawg66 That is very true. And I agree, however what do you think it means when you are not happy being the person you have become?

@lovelychicadee for me, that’s when I have to reinvent myself ... course usually that means go on a diet, exercise more regularly, draw and paint more often, dust off my notes and write another chapter or two on my book, etc ... I guess for some it might mean much more drastic changes ...

@Darksideinthenight1That is hard about your Aunt. It is so easy to regret things once they are gone. Thank you for sharing your response with me/us.
I regret that I find my self in a situation where my true sexual desires can’t be enjoyed and if I’m honest I wish I’d done more things more often for some years
I adored my Gram, funniest lady I've ever known.

@Grateful4you aw she must have been pretty amazing. I know mine was.
@lovelychicadee Yes she was, she made my first bell bottoms using fabric inserts into jeans. Got me fan tail pigeons, she loved spoiling me.
