I think that it’s hilarious that you’ve mentioned “Saturday morning” cartoons. It’s possible to watch cartoons pretty much 24/7 these days. But “back in the day”, Saturday mornings were the ONLY time that you could watch them. Wow have Times changed. Growing up in a very rural area, we could only get 3 tv channels & one of those was PBS. But the favorite back in my day was “Scooby-Doo”, “Tarzan”, and maybe “Speed Buggy”. And of course “Bugs Bunny”. Also liked “Johnny Quest” & a show called “Thundar the Barbarian”. That’s was a LONG time ago. Haha.
@RemovedUsername329422 There were cartoons on cable TV which was becoming popular when I was a girl, but my parents didn't decide to get that until the early 90's.

@latinbutterfly: I think that cable tv first started in the early 70s, but it wasn’t even available in my small hometown until the LATE 70s or early 80s. Nevertheless, my family didn’t get cable until after I’d gone off to college. Incidentally, the first time that I had cable was in my dorm room at school. Things have CHANGED tremendously since those days.

Uhh I think I’m too young to have Saturday morning cartoons.... DVRs and recording were a thing when I was old enough to care about cartoons.
I LOVED Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
Along with Fairly Odd Parents (back when it was good) and Spongebob and Power Puff Girls. When I was really young, I liked Oswald and Clifford and Blue’s Clues. When I got older, I really loved Danny Phantom. Last cartoons I watched and loved were Invader Zim when I was 16 and OK K.O. when I was 17. I still need to catch up on that one....
@ShaythePanTransMan Yep, Saturday morning cartoons are pretty much a thing of the past.

@latinbutterfly They are. Oh well.
And DVRs and cartoons on cable are gonna be a thing of the past too. Cord cutters!
I never watched them. Until I was too old. I slept through them. I loved Scooby Doo and eventually SpongeBob
@latinbutterfly where I lived we couldn't get cable. Still they won't run cable because you have to be so close to neighbors or they say it's not cost effective. So until direct TV we couldn't get the like this.
@CallmeHopelessNotRomantic I grew up in a working class household and my parents didn't decide to get cable TV until I was 15 (1993).
@latinbutterfly looking back now, it was ok. But man it seemed like torture. We lived 30 minutes away from the closest City. But it was beautiful. We had lots of wildlife and things like that to see and do. But nothing was easy when you're that far away. Even school was 20 minutes away. That meant a 45 minute but ride at least. Some years like middle School, it was even longer.

I loved Land of the Lost, although that was not animated, it was live action. Also, the only show with real dinosaurs.
