What was the longest time you cried?

Tears of joy or tears of sadness? What was the reason? Did you feel better after the cry, or worse?

Probably after my aunt saw my fathers obituary and contacted us to let us know he died. It probably was more about what should have and could have been.

@Keepitsimple oh, the scenarios in our heads... those are the worst
It wasnt crying straight for hours but i cried so much randomly for like a week 😟
sumojumo · 36-40, M
@Dewms sometimes I definitely wish I could cry more often. Does crying make you feel beter?
@sumojumo it cleanses your soul 😊
It makes me feel sleepy so i avoid doing it lol
sumojumo · 36-40, M
@Dewms do not avoid that - it is such a beautiful thing in my opinion. Well, not that I wish anyone would have reasons to cry, but people are so open and honest when they start to cry, and that is so beautiful.

With unstable hormones, I cried several times a day for like three weeks. I was thoroughly miserable!
sumojumo · 36-40, M
@Mistypetal our bodies are strange :)

sumojumo · 36-40, M
@PlumBerries do you feel better after crying, or worse?
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@sumojumo [c=#7700B2]just exhausted really, not better or worse [/c]
for 8yrs about a death
I struggled to cope
then I tackled it head on
forced myself to deal
sumojumo · 36-40, M
@butterflymind1 I think that dealing with death should be in the curriculum. We are all so unprepared for such occasions...

When my mom died , it caught me off guard . Took me a week . Sudden tragedies and my ptsd don’t mix well . I just wanted to die and I cried constantly . Horrible time
@TexChik I’m sorry. 🤗

@TexChik we should all prepare better for such occasions - i believe that it is possible to embrace deaths of our loved ones much more gracefully.

After my son died...I don't know if crying helps or not, but it happened (and still does) no matter what.
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
@sumojumo in all honesty I can't tell you how to start. After a year I am still figuring it out. The first year is a blur in many respects. I suffered another close lost this past March. Some days you just get up and have goals and work on them the best you can
I have had some supports yes but tend to be a private griever for the most part. I isolated for many months and being here and trying to socialize other places is a personal goal because isolating made things worse 🙂
TY for asking.

@ravenwind43 🤗
there are great people out there, and it is so great to hear that you want to socialize, you will be ok, I can feel it from your words. It takes time, sure, but you have the right attitude. All the power to you!

@sumojumo Thank you for your kind words 🙂
