Do blizzards happen in the winter where you live?

Here in northern Illinois we only get them every few years, but when we do get them they are pretty nasty 😅...like the blizzards of 1999, 2011, and 2015.

No we get about 3 inches of snow per year

@SW-User And that's just average. The highest winter snowfall total ever in Chicago is 89.7 inches back in the winter of 1978-1979.

We get no snow but we get bone chilling winds that come from the back blow of Antarctic hurricanes.

@SW-User We had a Polar Vortex system come through last winter at the end of Jan. It was so cold that schools and businesses were shut down for 2 days.

We get pretty bad snow here, bad enough that I rather stay home than shovel the driveway
