If you have been, or are a widow or widower, what is it about your late spouse that you miss the most?

With my late wife, I miss:
1) Her sweet voice
2) Her flowery, illuminated handwriting and doodles
3) Her love of the Lord and her caring, generous heart that was always reaching out to others

I can't begin to say what I miss. She was my soul mate. My other half. A true partner in every sense of the word in a way no other could.

This made me feel sad. I'm sorry for your loss. I have not lost my partner and to be honest I can't imagine how that must feel.i would miss every single thing about him. He's the centre of everything I am. He makes every day wonderful.

@BeautifulAnon Yes, I have been. So many couples seem to not be very happy together... and I'm wondering if they forget that love is a verb. Love requires sacrificial service towards our spouse if we want to have a truly blessed marriage relationship.

We complimented each other & worked so well as a team to get things done. She was smart, caring & organized. I am fortunate in that I still feel her presence & talk to her every day.

I am so sorry for your loss. I’ve lost friends, and and ex-boyfriend recently passed away. Those deaths were hard enough. I don’t want to think about losing my spouse. I’d miss him so much, miss the way he makes me laugh and all the loving things he does, the good man he is. It would be really hard. I know me though. I’d mourn, grieve and move on, but a piece of my heart would always belong to him, and I’d think about him and miss him every day.

@ChampagneOnIce Thanks. I think that most of us move on in one way or other... and in our own timing. And, there does seem to be a bit of our heart that is left behind... or maybe just encapsulated in the special memories... 🙂

@TexChik The Lord used her to teach me a lot... and then called her home. I am definitely looking forward to meeting up with her again soon... she's at the top spot of my list of people who I am looking forward to seeing again in Eternity.

@PoetryNEmotion She's been gone about 20 years now. Life moved on for me and I married again... but now as my life is drawing close to an end, my late wife has been in my thoughts more and more as someone I want to see again soon in eternity.
