What is your earliest childhood memory?

Mine is when JFK was assasinated. I was 1year 9 months old. My memory is me sitting on my dad's lap watching the funeral on TV. Mom was crying in her chair next us. I think I remember this because of the gravity of the circumstances. Don't remember much else until I was closer to 3.

I was three and won a bicycle. Only thing I've ever won.

I was three and remember being in my playpen with my dog Ronald Donald. (Because I apparently didn't bother with the "Mc" at that age)

@VictoryOrValhalla memberberries!

I remember crawling up the step into the dining room and my mother scooping me up. It's vague, but there. I was walking at 8 months, so not certain of age.

@Carla My memory is a little vague also. But at the same time vivid. If that makes any sense.
Carla · 61-69, F
@Cervincio it does! Being vivid is what has kept it in my reachable memory. I can still feel my mothers arms and see her smile in that moment.
I was around 2 and I got bit by a spider in my backyard. I remember looking over to the drivway and seeing my dads lime green delta 88 Oldsmobile and he only had that when I was 2 for a couple of months.

Hard to know what is the first one, so long ago. I do recall crawling behind a chair, finding a mouse trap, and thinking " oh a cool toy for me". It was a harbinger of many things to come. 😢

Around 2...playing in my parents driveway.

@Cervincio Yep I was raised where parents told their kids to play outside all day while they stayed inside doing their thing.
Cervincio · 61-69, M
@SW-User Same here. Sent out to play with the neighbors in the morning. We stayed out till dusk with the exception of lunch time. Didn't have nearly as many toys as most kids today either.
SW-User
For sure@Cervincio! Times have changed tremendously since we were kids. Its a shame.

There are alot of memories though i am not sure about the timeline.
Cervincio · 61-69, M
If it weren't for my memory being tied to a historical event I would be unsure of the timeline also. @thespirit

I don't know how old I was but I remember lying in my baby crib watching my mobile. And I remember learning to stand up in my crib and chewing on the railing, how bitter it tasted.
