If someone murdered your loved one

[c=#002673]Would you be able to forgive them at some point?[/c]

After I left them expiring in a puddle of their own fluids, sure.

@karysma Thank you for Best Answer!

They say that forgiveness is for you, not the offender. If it impacted my health, I don't know. But if my child was murdered, then to hell with my health and life. Forgiveness is also a process. There are no rules saying that you have to forgive someone for murder.

@karysma I wasn't having a go at @MissMollyCharlotte0702 yet my response repeatedly went over her head. Because I understand she's unable to see or insensitive to how, I've walked away. Zealots are exhausting like toddlers. @MissMollyCharlotte0702 would have better off not commenting on my thread, just sharing her opinion on her own thread but she's incapable of seeing that either and now we're left with the "I've said nothing wrong here" victim because she thinks that it's ok to share her biblical perspective with someone who's been politely asking her to go away from the beginning. What an energy sucking narcissists; I hate them like murderers.

@zeeva70 You are doing it again. Why are you so offended by the Bible. Did the Christians do something wrong to you or something. Everybody is allowed to have their own opinion you know
zeeva70 · F
@karysma Yes, they've offended me most of my life by pushing their evangelicial behavior at the expense of other beleiefs. How many times do you hear someone say, "From a Humanist perspective or from a Buddist or Islamic or the Torah says...?" You don't have to because most Western societies are majority Christian so almost everyday Christianity influences our lives. Then if someone draws a healthy boundary with a Christian, they'll get offened or say they're being persecuted. No other religion does that.
I believe in forgiveness, but it would take a long time. A very long time. I admire people who have forgiven those that have murdered their loved ones. I don’t think I could do it.

No. Why tf would I even consider that
karysma · 31-35, F
@Dan193 Somebody lost control of the car we were riding in and I ended up in a wheelchair. It took me years to forgive her but I realized that though she felt guilty she was going on with her life so I found it in my heart to forgive her. It felt good to let of the anger
Dan193 · 26-30, M
@karysma I'm glad u could do that for yourself. And that you can get on with your life.

I would like to think that I would
But can't predict what you would actually do until it has happened
TexChik · F
Nope ! I would probably do everything possible to get satisfaction, PTSD would see to that .
Mona86 · C
You have to for you to move on, and live, but if that person still has no remorse then you need to let them learn
nativespirit · 61-69, M
By the time I was done with them there wouldn’t be anything left if them
If they were a formidable and honourable foe, then yes.
Cierzo · M
No. And those who say they would look to me either fake, or not human.
SW-User
That's an unreasonable expectation.
Kellywylie · 36-40, F
After I’ve tracked them down and made them pay
Inquisator · M
