Back in the day I was a commercial fisherman ,and we would get on a school of fish in one state ,and fish them until they went to sea at Port Canaveral Fla .
My family had a fish house close by ,so they would send us our pay by truck when Don Wood fisheries called in our weight ,and take anything not roe mullet back to the fish house
Paid up ,and a camper setting in Jetty park waiting on us to clean up and change out of matching snow suits and back into normal clothes and put weeks of living on the boat behind us ,and live it up .
My cousins always liked to hit the strip clubs in CoCo Beach to celebrate a good season .and the good money we made .
When we came in we were well known ,,,,9 of us getting treated like kings
yea I can confess I fell in love more than once ,but I knew at closing time I was getting told to hit the road and go home .
Well I took the advice ,my cousin ended up marrying one of them .
She made him quit the band and fishing ,she did not trust him away from home again .He had a wife at home when he met her .she knew not to let him try that on her ,she was not as trusting as his wife he had .
He threw away a good woman ,He lived to regret his choice .
I was wise enough not to date woman in bars that could drink up my pay .

I was also an entertainer for many years ,so I have lusted after a few Groupie's
But I was happily married then ,,I only lusted ,I never touched or fell in love
I had Mrs Right waiting on me back home ,
But I did have lots of ladies say they fell in love with me
I was wise enough to learn from my cousins mistake and dating a drunk one time myself ,,I hated alcohol back them ,and I hates being with a mean drunk even worse ,
I hate alcohol breath too when I'm not drinking myself
I never drink while I play ,it makes me forget the lyrics
When I play I want it perfect ,no mistakes
I worked very hard so that my show was as flawless as I could get it ..
But after the show ,,I made up for it ,,and it was on the house
I never played to turn around and give back my pay on a bar tab
I was there to have a good time ,but it was also my job
I take my jobs seriously ,,free drinks afterwards was always part of my deal to play ,,
Then it was a private party ,my turn to enjoy myself
Sometimes I let groupies party with us ,but I never messed with any of them .
back in the late 80's and early 90's ,Aids was on the rise too
This was before the cocktail ,messing around could end up being a death sentence
So I have a motto ,,"Never do anything thats not worth dying for ,or ruining your life over" ..I knew way to many people who are no longer with us over a 1 night stand .
