art movies

Do you like art movies with no stories but a surge of sensations and emotions ,motivations..

Yeah I studied Fine Arts and I watched many of them in the past. Some are shit, some good but the most of them are at least interesting.

@Sharky86 Oh wow, where did you study? How was your school? Did you stay in the field after school? Or fumbled about in despair like I do now? xD

@CrazyMusicLover I studied at the Fine Arts Academy of Milano, Italy. Tbh I was in contact with it, but avoid the field, cause here is a very shitty thing about money and not Art at all.
Critics thing they should suggest you what to do just cause they're not able to do it by themselves and also are only interested in what should become more easy popular and good for the market.
I know artist better than me forced to do shit instead of their more interesting and original works, and I hate this...

@Sharky86 Yeah, I guess that's how it is everywhere in Artworld. -.- I figured out that it's not my world after finishing bachelor's degree but did Master's anyway. Another thing is that here in Slovakia, art is too much burdened with the past of our country and older generation sticks to it so much that it's annoying. There's too much politics in art and too much conceptual, dematerialized forms.

Apart from that, there is an underground scene outside official galleries and academic fields run by enthusiasts, and some semi-commercial festivals that serves more as a tourist attraction. (Something like festival of lights in Berlin)

I know a student from our school who went to study stay to your academy and he liked it there. He studied architecture though. Another schoolmate stayed in Italy for Master's degree but I think she's in L'Aquila (Academy of Fine Arts of l'Aquila). Yeah, people like going to Italy because for us, it's like going on vacation. xD Especially for those who went to Catania.

We had two Italian students this year but I have no idea where they were from. :/

Honestly, creating it would be much more fun than watching.

@CrazyMusicLover Yeah if you have the skills on this field. I have a very close friend who's a director and a video artist, I'm an artist myself and sometimes I help with her works.
Tbh I'd like to have more experience and try to do things by myself, but with my current skills I know I'd be something shitty in video art. I'm especially interested in animation.

@Sharky86 The same here. I studied it in college and got my degree but I still feel too inexperienced. 😂
I focused on narrative forms but now I regret that I never tried something more lyrical.
Does your friend expose her works in galleries or send her videos to film festivals?
Sharky86 · 36-40, M
@CrazyMusicLover She's kinda active in the festival field mostly here in my country (Italy) and sometimes in other places in Europe.
