Say you get shot

And you get released from hospital. Do they teach you how to dress the bullet wound or you have to back to the hospital to have it changed?

In UK you'd visit wound clinic probably daily to start with and they would redress it

I'll do the cleaning and bandages myself
I aslo remove my own stitches

They well tell you have how to care and dress the wound. They will also have you come back for check ups.
I think you would have to go back to wound care a few times

Depends where you get shot on your body, it's not Hollywood lol. A few years later when youre still learning to walk on your own again you may wish the shooter wasn't a stormtrooper from star wars and he'd been accurate and killed you there n then.
