Why or why not? And if you've had a supernatural experience, I'm curious as to what it was. Just looking for some feedback.

Hmm. We'll finish this later. ;) 馃構 @Allelse I'm one of those annoying Jesus freaks, so it's sometimes difficult to understand the concept of what seems to be supernatural activity without the supernatural being involved. It's not like cavities being discovered as the reason our teeth hurt. Its stuff that moves with no physical action to cause it. If germs were once just a concept that was eventually proven, how can evil be ruled out as the force behind the intentional actions?

We have free will, we are the sum total of what we were born with, how we were raised and our life experience. Muddle that all together with free will and you get us. Our decision to act is our own, and maybe its because we new rape as our first sexual encounter or maybe we happen to be wired wrong, but in the end its our decision. And I see that as an act of free will, rather than a supernatural intercedence by an outside force be it good or evil. Also nobody is the sum total of their worst or greatest act. Hitler was a complete bastard but he loved animals.

I have never had a supernatural experience of any sort but that's hardly a basis to say such things don't exist. It's like saying since I've never seen Paris with my own eyes Paris doesn't exist. I know very credible people who say they have seen ghosts and such, and as a Catholic there is more in our teaching to argue they didn't see them as to say they did. Since our ability to understand this world and the universe (let alone God) is like asking a 6 month old baby to repair my computer, I am left saying I mostly don't believe for mostly religious reasons but the fact people I respect those who say they have puts my being sure of it at only 60 percent certainty and am not arrogant enough to disrespect someone who does believe.

I have hallucinations too. But it's leftover from a bad med they changed the dose on without telling me, and my migraine pain enhances them. @Belladonna One of my online friends used to see gnomes over doorways. She loved those gnomes.

Not really, honestly. I believe in energy, in the spirit world, in the power of God, good and evil... I don't, however, believe we all die and are trapped here until some medium tells us to "go into the light". That just isn't what my faith teaches, and I have no reason to believe otherwise. I have seen things not of this physical world. You know that saying, "it has to be believed to be seen"? I believe.

Have seen what I could only describe as a ghost many times. Really don't know what it was, but I saw it and multiple others have mentioned a "presence" in the house though not a malicious one. Just like someone is there when no one is.
