Do you think things happen for a reason ?

I believe that all things in the universe are interconnected no matter how remote at the time it may seem. In the same way I also think that people cone into your life for a reason. Some stay
.....others just pass through. But there is a reason for that and they do leave a footprint on the tapestry of your life ..

If you understood Christianity you would know that all things happen for a REASON because REASON is the Second Person in the Trinity.

I am half/half about this.

I believe that everything before an event, led to that event happening. That event in turn will be a part of a process which will lead to another event happening.

As far as destiny or fate, I don't really think about those things. I do not feel that each person is predestined to have certain bad or good happen throughout their life. I believe that what we choose to do decides on the outcome of everything.

I’ve always believed that. ❤️

@SatanBurger Yep I understand the concepts of probability and random chance but thank you for your reply. My point was that we do not know if there's such things as fate or destiny. We cannot say for certain whether what happens in the universe is random or by design because although we can theorise, none of us know the truth for certain.

@Greenbare See, this is a much more reasonable response. You might want to consider this sort of approach in future if you want to express yourself. Jumping immediately to insulting somebody who's asking questions isn't a good way to open up dialogue. Luckily I'm patient enough to have continued to listen to you, or that would have just been the end of it with nothing gained.

well sure.. many things do.

you smoke you get lung cancer, you over eat you get fat.

you drive drunk you crash and most likely take a life.

you vote republican you lose your programs you pay for.

I agree with all of what you said there. I think everything happens for a reason and I think the reason is for us to learn from it.

@Mark64 Sometimes I'm open and sometimes I'm closed. It's hard for me to be open all the time but I know how important it is
more of cause and affect or things happening out of randomness.

I absolutely agree with you.
To answer your question, no, I’ve never believed that. Incidents have causes direct and indirect, but I’m not sure how they could be part of some master plan. More like a series of random events.
