What is the oddest thing you had to do for food?

In a small town in Arkansas, there was no help, I was rained out of my job so long that I was happy to find a partly used bag of corn meal. It had bugs but I 'floated' them off and mixed it with wid garlic and greens from the yard and ate it with gratitude. A girl once broke up with me for taking a partially eaten sandwich from the trash and eating it. No problem.

Killed a snake and boiled it for about 15 seconds until the rain put out my fire. I was starving and ate it anyway.

Took some tortilla chips and peanut butter, i was real hungry

Stuffing a chicken feels odd. You're shoving rice and breadcrumbs up that arse of that chicken

Put apple slices in a pan, fried it with butter and sugar and lemons or whatnot.
