I wish to say this. I watched a documentary on W5 the other evening. You may be able to find it online. Or get it from tv. It speaks of a disorder that is rare but certainly can happen from lasik surgery. Disabling headaches. Some people find relief from implanted devices that provide analgesic through Fentanyl liquid. They describe the pain as like knives plunging into their eyes. Studies show that the people performing these procedures truly minimize the side-effects. There are few studies about long-term results of these miraculous surgeries on eyes and on vision. Please read all the fine print. Ask questions. Be informed. Knowledge is power. Be powerful. And good luck to you, hopes. I wear glasses and have poor vision. Have since the optometrist overprescribed my script since grade 2. I have had contacts. I would like to not wear glasses, but I feel the risks of surgery far outnumber the benefits. My opinion.

My wife had laser eye surgery a number of years back.....her eyesight is much better than it used to be (though she still needs reading glasses, her distance vision has gone from awful to normal).
