I Think Education Is Important

Hello, I consider education to be important (hence the group hehehe.)

I've had the misfortune to never had the chance to become well-educated... People have always underestimated me simply because I was considered handicapped. They automatically assumed I was stupid, so I was forced to follow a low education.

I hate that, not just because that means that others will underestimate me, but because I know that I can do so much more, do things so much better... :(

Sometimes I envy those with a higher education and they can actually intimidate me, especially when it shows how much more they know than I do. It makes me wonder if they perceive me as stupid or ignorant.

I've got the raw brainpower to handle university, not to mention that I'm determined and love to learn, but I have no way to proof that to others simply because I am not that well educated.

That might be a reason why I'm trying to learn as much as I can on my own, all the while improving myself where I can. It's also one of the reasons that I hope I'm allowed to admit to college, to finally show myself and the world what I'm capable of! To show everyone who underestimates me that I am able to do great things! (The main reason being that it's been my dream to develop games for as long as I can remember.)

But alas, we come back to my low, pathetic education. For me to gain admittance to college, I have to complete a Differential Aptitude Test and I simply dread it. All my effort, all my good impressions I've made so far could all be for nothing if I don't pass that stupid test! I don't fear for the things that don't require knowledge since that's going to be fine, but I fear for things like sentence structuring and vocabulary...

The more I get back into this world, the more I hate the fact I've been suppressed all my life. If I want to change my life, better my life, better myself and show the world what I am capable of, I must pass this test and gain admittance into this college. Once I'm in, my life can truly begin!

Perhaps someone has some advice I can use to pass this test? What were your experiences?
Don't have any insecurity about your present education, for that might affect your confidence and preparation for your test.
Just focus on the content of the test.
Get some sample papers online. You can practice these sample questions and check their answers.
Time your tests to see if you are able to finish on time.
Practice...the more you practice, the faster you will be.

When you feel confident, go ahead and appear for the test!
Hope for the best and put in your 110%..I'm sure you'll pass with flying colors!! All the best!! Go for it!!

education is not acquired in any public school, education is your own responsibility so use the computer you are on this very minute and begin reading. it doesn't matter what subject just start reading and do not stop until you learn something!

@xSharp: I require education as a stepping stone to join college. The diploma is required. Since I don't have it, I require to do that test.

@Junkard: you are not being educated, you are being conditioned and prepared for more specified training. learn how colleges operate and acquire funding and THEN you will become "educated" on the operations and motives of colleges and diplomas.

True, but I still require papers to attend, which I don't have.
