@SunshineSwirl: In fact, a similar observation changed the trajectory of my life. I was at a dead job working as a houseman in a hotel. Unhappy and depressed I used to waste time smoking at our back loading ramp where the trucks would deliver goods. There was one flower growing out of the cracks of the monstrous monstrous desert. The trucks kept on driving over it, but it kept on coming back up until finally the trucks won and it died never flowering or reaching its fruition. It was then I decided that I was the gloomy flower. If I didn't do anything, I would never blossom as I was intended. I quit the job then and went back to school. I will never forget that flower asserting itself against all odds in a hostile environment; gloomy but yet hopeful. Life out of death. Ok, maybe I had one little shot more than I should have tonight lol.

Maybe the brickwall extends 10.000 feet into the earth, you'd have no idea if that was the case.
SunshineSwirl · 51-55, F
