Everyone uses it, not just singles. My family have a group for arranging gatherings or picking up shopping. I’m on a work chat group too It’s pretty every day stuff.
most important aspect is remote chatting which could be different countries/continents and day/night messaging 12 or more hours distant. They may have different login schedules too
