There are far to many timid men around, and their timidity is so very off putting to a young woman interested in adult life.

My last boyfriend was an artist and he was both flighty and moody with it.

I understand. Try a different age range. I suggest older guys as they tend to be more mature, have their stuff together and know what they want.

@Magenta I believe you're dead on point!! They also have little masculine role models anymore. Either your an asshole or a metro sexual hipster as if that's your only choices. And then pile on the whole sexual harassment BS men can't flirt without fear.

@abe182Definitely some truth there. Lack of strong role models and the whole family structure/morals seems to be in decline. Old fashioned or not, man/woman roles are a good foundation for kids I think.. There is so much obsession now with "rights movements" many have lost touch with who they are naturally at the core.

I wonder if this will change or not. Just a few decades ago, young adults were consumed with preparing and pursuing a partnered life. I don't see so much of that today. I think a single or un-partnered life today is much more comfortable and far less lonely.
