I Starting Over After Divorce

It's hard to make that decision but once you open that door and walk out the feeling of liberation after years of trying to make something work that obviously won't lets you know you did the right thing for yourself.

Exactly. I am not saying it is easy, because it isn't.

And then there is that whole thing (actually can happen) where you begin to forget all the really, really bad things and can only remember the good, and then you miss him a LOT (because you've forgotten)...and you try to get back together and he is giggling with glee because now he has his shot at revenge.

Thankfully I made it out of round two alive, and I am so grateful whenever I think of the horrible depression I used to feel living with a control freak/anger management candidate abuser.

I never have to listen to someone screaming at me for no reason again. It is wonderful!

It's not an easy decision but in my case there came a time where it was the only way to save my sanity. In my case I can honestly say the effort was there on my part to make it work. I walked with no regrets.
