Should murderers and other brutal criminals be executed?

When we commit the same acts as the evil we claim to loath, even in the name of justice, then we become the evil we loath. It sucks. But we MUST be better than that.

No. Lock them away and let them rot in prison for the rest of their lives. Execute them and you're doing them a favor and sparing them from that.

Serial killers should be shot in the face. It depends on the case of someone killing someone else. If it's self defence,no they shouldn't. If someone goes around and kills some random person or a loved one, yes. Rapists are the worst. Rapists should all be raped themselves until they eventually die. Some people get life sentences for hardly doing anything. I was watching a video about this man who robbed a couple places when he was 14 I think and he got 3 life sentences 😳😳 WTF. Clearly the judge was a racist fucker.

If you remove these people from society then you provide a deterrent to others as most would be afraid to die themselves and also remove the risk of them causing any further harm, ref Ted Bundy’s escape and subsequent murders. I’d also highlight that executing ‘proven beyond doubt’ murderers is not society sinking to the same depths as them, this is a partial rectification of a person who has gone wrong in order to assist in the provision of a safe society for others to live in.

Just the number of convicted murderers who were executed and later found innocent is reason enough to stop the practice and if it is so heinous and brutal thing to kill another doesn't that make it CRUE and UNUSUAL punishment?

my challenge with the death penalty, it's finding out how many innocent persons have been executed by the state. It is disproportionate in terms of poverty and of race.
There are certainly people that I feel emotionally, should be ended like the fellow that shot up the school the other day. About him we have very little doubt. And yet I am uncomfortable with letting my government choose to kill people.
