One of the most embarrassing things my mother ever did was tell my math teacher that he looks like the Cigarette Smoking Man from the x-files

This was at my 8th grade parent-teacher interview. My math teacher burst into hysterical laughter when my mother told him this and it was hard for him to stop laughing. He was a genuinely nice guy too who didn't smoke or drink, and was known in the community for tutoring refugee kids and did people's taxes for free.
