Do you have a favourite line of poetry?

Mine is :
"Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams". (W.B.Yeats). He's buried not so far from here. On his tombstone : "Horseman, pass by".

“Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul.” That’s my favorite favorite though there’s a gazillion more I love lol 😄
i like these

"I go so far as to think you own the universe.
I will bring you happy flowers from the mountains,
bluebells, dark hazels, and rustic baskets of kisses.

I want to do with you what spring does with the cherry trees."

[sep]

"Life will hit you hard in the face, wait for you to get back up just so it can kick you in the stomach. But getting the wind knocked out of you is the only way to remind your lungs how much they like the taste of air.”

Many a time I visited his graveside while stopping at the famous Yeats tavern across the road

@Celt43 Could have walked past you without knowing it. Davis's restaurant a few hundred yards away is good.

"There once was a man from Nantucket"...
(I'm sorry...childish joke)...actually my favorite line comes from a poem I wrote in my misspent youth..."I only regret what I have not done yet!"....
