Guys, do you agree in being friends with your ex, and that it's a sign of being a psychopath.

I agree with this belief.

Guess I’m a psychopath 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Hairy I'd read that comic book. Now, who's gonna draw me as The Laughing Sarahpool? ;)
Hairy · 51-55, T
@SarahAndSamantha Moi, perhaps? A character who makes The Babadook look like Bambi. Challenge accepted.

@Hairy I dare ya!

I guess it depends on why they are your EX. I was married at 19 and divorced at 21. I was divorced in 1988, nobody cheated or anything like that. It was all about control issues for her and both of us being young and dumb. There was no contact for a period of a few years, a chance meeting put us together for a chat. Being young and dumb was something we agreed on, we have remained friends ever since. We text and email occasionally. She doesn't get into my life and I don't get into hers. If your EX is full of crazy, and I don't mean the fun kind of crazy, I mean the batshit kind of crazy, then it would probably be a good idea to leave them alone.

@Roadsterrider cool. Thanks for the advice

Im tenative friends with my ex husband of 10 years. We have kids and grandkids together so we choose to get along for them. He wasnt about it but I was. Its not the kids fault he was an abusive, cheating asshole. He never thought Id leave him. Then I did. Then he asked the latest woman he was having an affair with to marry him when SHE got divorced. But was still trying to hook up with me.
I tried so I was able to walk away with a clear conscience. They are still together, although they seperate often and have zero trust. Ive been with my husband now for over 20 years & am happy. So I am fine being friends with him because I know that Ill never have romantic feelings for him again.
Ladyofemotions · 31-35, F
@DaBearsGirl That's because you're no longer romantically attached I suppose
ahm; a psycho usually kills their beloved ones?? Maybe it is a bit narcisstic, but it is not bad in that way since you are not a neutral person and you have history. BUt I guess with time some form of friendship is possible. But if somebody is hijacking or inflicting pain in a way that is not friendship but rubbing the scars, so it can be pathological in that way...

I am best friends with my online "EX"🙂
th3r0n · 41-45, M
Depends how bad you are at picking who to date.

I don't have a single ex that I have a problem with and at least one I'm friends with and could talk to about anything.
Ladyofemotions · 31-35, F
@th3r0n Wow, that's good. I have one and wouldn't be friends with him as much as he tries. I think it's just to dominate
th3r0n · 41-45, M
@Ladyofemotions oh, that's not good. The ex that I'm still friends with was a fiancee about 12 years ago, and she's with someone else so I don't try to be romantic with her or anything, and unless a woman is being pushy or aggressive I'm not one to try to dominate. I'm a dominant man, but not controlling.

No, only if you have kids with that person would it make sense to remain "friends"
Shayla · F
I'm on good terms with a few ex's.
NativeOregonian · 51-55
It never ends up well.
I am pleasant with her but thats just for the kids sake
FapMasterJam · 26-30, M
