@bijouxbroussard This may be a generational thing. When you grow up seeing divorces everywhere it seems prudent to grow up a little bit and see what kind of people you're becoming before getting married.

I was married after six years. My sister married after ten. That said another friend married after a year and a half - but they were both "Okay we're in our 30s, time to have a kid now."

@bijouxbroussard Takes about 3-5 to really know a person. 6 months to a year you don't even have much of a clue about a person.

Beats wasting the rest of our lives together or wasting our assets in a divorce.
