My dad was and probably still is a biggot

He's a brown Mexican-American.
....oh I'm sorry i forgot brown people can't be racist. No but really he is. It's not even a brown vs whites issue for him. For him its a him vs every race that isn't the same color as him. He can't stand asians, whites, blacks, etc. Says I'm whitewashed because I learned the native tongue of the land i was borm on. I'm not sorry that I know English in order to better function in the society i was born in. I'm not sorry for eating tacos with hot dogs all while playing Halo on my Xbox. I stopped being around him because he has such a gloomy and angry outlook on life. I get that the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows and that theres definitely racist people out there but why sacrifice your emotional well being over that? I personally don't care if there are racists out there. I know they're there but they won't stop me from living the life I want to live simply because they throw racial slurs at me. They call me wetback, taco, beaner, shortie etc but it goes through one ear and out the other. I love my old man but he's gotta accept that I'm not like him. I wish he'd accept invitations to go have lunch with all the other soccer moms and dads after my games. He always used to say that he was too busy but that was mostly never true. I suppose this is how I became scarred for such a long time growing up. For a while i thought just like him and it brought me all kinds of depression and loneliness. I became very insecure about how I looked and what i ate thanks to him because he always told me to "watch out" or "be aware". But ever since I left his house I've healed. Everyday gets easier. I know racism is real and alive but its not as bad as he made it out to be. At least not anymore and not in my country. They are not the majority. Racists are the minority.
Wow..Thanks for sharing

Racism about being superior to another race. Is your dad under the impression that his race can be superior to all other races and can he or any other minority make that happen?

No?

Then he is not a racist. He is a bigot.
