Working mum guilt, can anyone relate?

Yes this is completely true, my elderly neighbour is always telling me I work too much and don’t see my daughter enough. I don’t think he can comprehend just how difficult it is to get in to the housing market and get ahead in the current economy. The cost of living in Australia is ridiculous @TheOneyouwerewarnedabout

@SW-User Don't listen to him. He's a douche. You do what you can. We can't all be stay at home parents. My mom was a hard-working woman and she did a fantastic job raising me and my brother.

My mother was a hard working woman who went back to work, had a strong work ethic and who had a great career in her field, and her support laid down the foundations for mine and my sisters future. We never went without. My mother's sister was an utter bitch!!! And was very mean to my mother about going back to work, but guess what, she was a woman who NEVER worked who was always broke and was constantly dragging her daughter from one rental to another.

Yeah stay at home mum’s are very sanctimonious, but often lacking in drive and other skills to model resilience for their children

@SW-User She was a complete bitch to my Mum, all the while creating an unstable life for her own daughter. And it wasn't just my Mum, but my mother's Mum and my father's mother; they all went back to work.
