Did you know none of the events in Game Of Thrones actually happened? So why not read a proper history book instead?

If you like Game Of Thrones you're a twat.

Game of Thrones is just a ripoff of Lord of the Rings that's been altered to include a bunch of edgy shock value. "Ooh, look, incestuous relationships. Omg we're breaking the rules by killing off important characters. We're so unpredictable and angsty."
@BlueMetalChick It’s actually a rip-off of medieval European history, with zombies and dragons thrown in.

@LeopoldBloom Well that too...
@BlueMetalChick And the scene where Prince Oberyn fights Gregor Clegane, where he keeps yelling "you raped her, you murdered her, you killed her children" is a deliberate hommage to The Princess Bride where Mandy Patinkin fights the six-fingered man and keeps repeating "my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

Still, GoT is great fun. I'm just sorry that Martin isn't going to ever finish the other two books, but then, how could he? He's competing with the TV show now.

A little harsh , but yes a few of these individuals who see it as cultural history and reflects true history, are a little numb minded

I have never watched the program, but I know of it. There are a lot of "historical" stories that are fictionalized...and there is absolutely nothing wrong with finding a tv show or movie interesting and entertaining. If you don't care for the show that is your business and prerogative, but you shouldn't come in here and post insults directed at people who do.
