"Time heals all wounds" ...When I think about that old saying, I just remember the time a grandfather clock fell on me when i was playing hide-n-seek

@SuperMachoNerdMan yea ,,I have a problem with strange dogs not on a leash
Most animals respond to me ,but 2 had to be killed to get them off me
A St Barnard and a chow ,I knock on a door and get nailed
No one around to get them off me ,,,,I still have the scars from trying to snatch my arm free ,, the St Barnard only bit me and would not let me move
The chow made me fear for my life ,,it did not end well for either

I know how to handle it better now ,I was only a kid then

Time healed the wounds and many others since ,,but I quit sticking out my hand thinking if I just let a dog smell me and everything will be alright

Glad you survived the attack of the Grandfather clock ,,I have built a few
Love them ,,maybe not around kids though ,if it was unstable I would have screwed it to the wall ,most wind through the face or by chains
