How to tell your Ex that you already need the money he borrowed?

It’s been 3 years already but my Ex haven’t paid me the money I lend him.

You will never see that money again. He hasn’t forgotten the debt , he just does not intend to repay it

@SW-User actually this is for impurple. I had to bring my ex to court. But my friend lawyer told me great advice: she said don't wait too long because the courts might interpret that you have forgiven him I don't know if it's too late for the main person of this post, but it's worth a try. Ps. You don't need a lawyer for small claims court. You can do it by yourself. I did, and in no time at all, weekly cheques from his garnished wages started rolling in. Was awesome.

Unfortunately you may have to accept that you'll never see that money again. You may have to chalk it up to a hard lesson learned.

i really feel that this will be the case. *Sigh@indyjoe

@ImPurple I'm afraid that the money is gone forever...

Either let it go or take him to court if you can't let it go. It's been 3 years. He isn't going to magically come up with the money if you've been asking him for a while to repay it.
When you loan money to friends and family, that actually need it, you must never expect to really be paid back. Sorry😶
@WetpantsBoy i've loan money to friends and family before, and besides an ex, they have all paid back, hence that is why it's called a "LOAN". In the rare occasion I have 'given' money to friends, I had to twist their arm to make them accept it. Usually people don't want to feel that they are dependent upon someone, hence a loan is what most people prefer.

Was he already your ex when you loaned it? If so, listen to Asificair and go on Judge Judy.
@xixgun You do know that she can't legally enforce her "judgments", right???
Dont lend them money.. He most likely has no intention of ever giving it back to you imo

Say goodbye to it.
