Would you become a nicer person if life was easier?

I think that any extreme would be bad. Too good can cause a bad spoiled selfish personality, maybe cruel. And too bad bitter, rebel, jealous, envious etc. It all depends on the person. Probably with any of those extremes I wouldn't be nicer anyway.

But if it was easier not to an extreme hehe I would stick to my previous reply.

Maybe if it was easier I would be self absorbed and selfish, not nicer. Difficulties make us empathetic to others.

No. I am the same no matter how good or bad life treats me.

There are plenty of people who have an easier life and aren’t nicer I don’t think that has much to do with it.

I'm a nice person regardless I think. But life has hurt me enough to be less nice, which is kind of bad

Yes. But at the moment, I am working so much that I don't really think about other people (which sounds quite selfish, I know). I'm working a full time job, studying for a degree level qualification, as well as trying to get my own business off the ground. It doesn't leave a lot of room for being nice. Fucking hell, if I thought that all this effort now was going to turn me into a nasty piece of shit once I have enough financial security to relax, I wouldn't be doing it. Nah, I see philanthropy on my horizon. 😌

I don't think so. Difficulty is what keeps me grateful. If things got easier? I'd find a way to make them harder. This way if I'm nice it's not from a place of pity, it's from one of empathy.

I try to be nice despite any difficulties I encounter or deal with. It doesn't always work, but I try.

I think my actions would become nicer as i'd have more money and time to proactively do things for people, but i don't think i'd change as a person.

I think most people would. The stresses of the modern world are one thing that makes people be less nice I think. The struggle to try to get ahead doesn't leave time to think about being nice to others. Life was hard years ago, but in general I believe people were nicer to each other.

I don't think I would change much to be honest,I am nice to those that are nice to me,and if I'm not,then that person needs to ask themself why.

Regardless of how life is going, I always try to be nice .. until given enough reason not to be ..
