Does love hurt?

Straylight · 31-35, F
Only if you clench.
Rokasu · 36-40, M
Fernie · F
It's not supposed to hurt. Losing it hurts but love itself doesn't hurt

@Fernie ☝️
ABCDEF7 · M
Love doesn't, but expectations do. True love is about giving and not expecting anything in return.
Fernie · F
@ABCDEF7 exactly! It's what we DO with love that ruins it's purity...ridiculous expectations
ABCDEF7 · M
@Fernie Yes, people think happiness lies in receiving. They don't understand if they are looking for what they are getting in a relationship, it would be more like a business relationship.
Fernie · F
@ABCDEF7 well said!
Reject · 26-30, M
No, not even losing it hurts. Not when you love like I do.
Reject · 26-30, M
@Fernie Why would I hurt when I love them for who they are and not whatever they can do for me in life?
Fernie · F
@Reject again....makes no sense. You go on not feeling and I will go on being human.
Reject · 26-30, M
@Fernie Alrighty then.
Oh yes. Especially if lubes forgotten fer summmmmmm 🤭
Rokasu · 36-40, M
Fucking @Teggy 😂

We would surely use lube 😳
@Rokasu 😵 omg
Love don't exist.
@Rokasu Not love or santa clause.
I am just about inclined to believe the same, with the exception of maternal love. However, I've had no success in finding any literature by an author interested in challenging this theory of the existence love. Any recommendations, by chance?
@AnonymouslyYours No recommendation but more observation. What most couples call love is more of contract. They use each other to meet needs or wants. If one don't meet those needs the relationship is in trouble. that is not love. That is a trade agreement.

I wish it didn't but in my experience yes

More than you know
labsrock · M
It’s been known to
stained · 13-15, M
If it doesn't hurt it's not love.
Fernie · F
@stained You are dead wrong. You don't know what it is yet
stained · 13-15, M
@Fernie At some point it's going to hurt . What if the one you love dies?
Fernie · F
@stained the pain comes from the loss of love...love is pure and not hurtful. I know many of us THINK we know what love is because we get into relationships with people we say we love...but.. we don't really know what it is until we know. We seriously overuse the word...it's meaning gets washed away

"Love is like a flame, it burns you when it's hot.
Love hurts."
Ryanoliver2011 · 26-30, M
Only when it dies
It’s not supposed to. No one who truly loves you should be deliberately hurting you.
