Do you find this annoying

We people say you should respect them just because they are a few years older. That isnt how respect works. Its not given its earned. And if you say respect me im older you have no right to complain if some one older than you disrespects you.

I don't think respect is always supposed to be "earned". There's a form of base-level respect we should have for all human beings.
