You are of course correct. In theory. The laws exist. But those who apply them are just as human, understaffed, and flawed as they ever where. Its no different than any other area of regulation. The Rules exist. Enforcement doesn't.@Lostpoet

@Elessar You didn't have a particular administration in mind for this? Maybe one that didn't like free press and was lining the pockets of its close friends. Maybe even owed money to people who didn't support the govt interest?🤔

@whowasthatmaskedman I didn't have any U.S. administration in mind if that's what you're asking, considering I don't live there; mine was a general statement, applicable anywhere. Any party, no matter which orientation, can become rogue. History comes with quite a lot of examples.

No, I just reckon these people are not known to you or me, just some that are in our society, and are somehow controlling who’s
voted and what they say...

It is odd how every politician says a few things to gain popularity and get into parliament, but then some of them change what they are going to do, knowingly they are not, and normal, everyday people know this, as it has happened too much, and yet vote for someone,in Australia if a person doesn’t vote they get a fine... so we don’t have a choice to vote for someone.
